Civilian Conservation Corps Courses
How long does a CCC course last? All CCC courses last six (6) months.
When do I attend classes? There are two (2) course cycles, from October to March (cycle I) or April to September (cycle II). Trainees are expected to attend classes and training sessions every weekday for the duration of their course cycle.
Will I receive any compensation? Yes, all trainees receive a monetary stipend per day of attendance.
How do I register for a course? To register with the CCC, follow the procedure below:
- Print the application form (click here) and fill it out.
- Don't forget to have a physician fill out and sign the medical section of your application form.
- Be sure to have two (2) passport-size photos of yourself.
- Be sure to have your machine-readible Trinidad and Tobago birth certificate or passport, or a valid driver's license or identification card.
- Write down the name of your bank, as well as your bank account number.
- Write down your National Insurance Board (NIS) number.
- Go to the CCC centre nearest you (click here for locations) on 12 September with your filled-out application form, bank and NIS information, valid Trinidad and Tobago identification (original birth certificate or passport, or a valid driver's license or identification card), and passport photos.
Will I get practical on-the-job experience? Yes, all trainees work with and learn from experienced professionals in acredited businesses or training facilities, as specified below. Please note that each organisation determines syllabus details and topics covered/taught to trainees in accordance with Civilian Conservation Corps guidelines. All syllabus details are approved by the Civilian Conservation Corps. All organisations are accredited by the Ministry of Education.
